Restore old versions
Every time you publish in Usecue CMS, your website is stored in Git, so nothing you ever published is lost. Coming from WordPress, you may know this as revisions. Until now, though, getting an old version back meant asking us. A client recently wanted last spring’s text of a page back, and that gave us an idea: let your AI assistant do it.
Ask your assistant something like ‘what did the vacancy page say in March?’ or ‘bring back the about page as it was before last week’s changes’. It looks up every publish that changed that page, with the date and who made it, and finds the version you mean. It shows you that version first, and only puts it back when you agree. A deleted page comes back the same way. It also works for data files, like a menu or a team list.
Only that one page changes. The rest of your website stays exactly as it is, including everything you published after that old version. And as with every change, nothing goes live until you publish. Once published, the old text is simply the newest version of the page, so the version it replaced is kept too.
Happy editing!
